Missed Opportunities

I’ve had my share of missed opportunities.  A lost phone number of an incredibly sexy soldier on a business trip instantly comes to mind, but so does meeting Unrequited a few months too late.  Oh yes, I most certainly would have expressed an interest engagement and all.  I can very much be that way; I just choose to be ethical.  Now that fate gently closed the door on that situation, I can lament yet another missed opportunity. 

So, when Anderson Cooper read part of a comment that I posted to his blog on television last night, and I missed it, I can’t help but chuckle at my misfortune.  Thank goodness for show transcripts and the keen ears of friends, “It just sounded like something that Rachel from Philadelphia would say.”

Some missed opportunities can be rewound; too bad it can’t be all.
