Life's A Five-Ticket Ride

Unavailable

If I was going to analyze dating patterns in my life the key word "unavailabilty" would come to mind:

I've dated the technically available but emotionally unavailable types.  These men believe work comes first.  Sometimes work is the classified, covert bullshit type...and I only wish I was exaggerating.  Sometimes work is law enforcement.  Often work is just the run-of-the mill corporate bullshit that pays the bills, but he really likes it.  He must have drunk the Kool Aid, but I digress.

I've dated the not technically available but physically available types.  (Editor's note:  just one guy, and he was getting a divorce).

I've dated the emotionally available but geographically unavailable guy.  Ever try to maintain a relationship 3000 miles apart?  How about when he's overseas?  So you're lonely, but at least you don't get tired of one another because you never see one another. It's also safe--he doesn't invade your world too much because he  is too far from your world to invade it.

I've yet to date the emotionally available and geographically available guy.  Wouldn't that be novel?
